Allow External Web Embeds in Pages (for Third-Party Tools)
Many mosques rely on specialised third-party platforms to provide certain services such as bookings, accessibility tools, and registrations. It would be extremely helpful if pages within Masjidbox could support embedding external web content (for example via webview or iframe). This would allow mosques to integrate third-party tools directly into the Masjidbox app while keeping the app as the central hub for community services. For example: • embedding a booking system such as SimplyBook.me for funeral services, nikah bookings, or hall hire • embedding a live translation feed from Baian.ai so users can follow khutbah translations inside the app • embedding external registration systems or educational platforms Currently mosques often have to send users to external websites or QR codes to access these services. Allowing external embeds would make the experience much more seamless and keep users within the mosque app. Benefits include: • reducing administrative workload • improving accessibility for multilingual communities • allowing mosques to extend functionality without needing new built-in features • making Masjidbox more flexible for mosques with growing digital infrastructure

Flexible recurring donation frequencies (weekly / fortnightly / custom)
Currently recurring donations only support a monthly schedule. It would be very beneficial to allow flexible recurrence options. Suggested options could include: Weekly Fortnightly Monthly Custom recurring day (e.g. every Friday) This would allow donors to align their giving with weekly salaries, fortnightly pay cycles, or Jumu’ah donations, making recurring giving more convenient and likely increasing long-term donor retention. Example use cases: Donate £5 every Friday Donate £10 every 2 weeks Donate £25 on the 1st of each month

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, Free Version Features should be
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, It is humbly suggested that the masjid could include more educational content for the benefit of the community. This may include short duas, adhkar, Qur’anic verses, and authentic hadiths related to different aspects of Islamic life. It would be very beneficial if brief reminders are displayed or shared regarding: Important Islamic months and their virtues Significance of special Islamic days and nights Importance and rewards of fasting, including nawafil (voluntary) fasting Guidance on how to perform prayers correctly The proper method and virtues of wudhu Information and reminders about Hajj and Umrah The Sunnahs of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in daily life Inspiring examples from the lives of the Sahaba (companions) Such reminders can help increase awareness, strengthen faith, and encourage more people—especially the youth—to learn and practice Islam in their daily lives. May Allah reward everyone involved in serving the masjid and guiding the community. Jazakumullahu Khairan.

Auto Silence Phone
Assalamu Alaikum Problem Phones ring during Salah. This is distracting, especially when praying in congregation at the Masjid. Potential Solutions When the MasjidBox app detects the phone is at any masjid, the app silences the phone ringer. Silence the phone ringer after Athan and restore the previous ringer settings 30 minutes after Iqamah Solution #1 Details The solution assumes: MasjidBox is already keeping a record of the address/location of a Masjid when it enrolls into the program Asking the user for their location and managing the ringer settings is within company policy The user approves the necessary permission requests. To determine if the phone is at a masjid, the app could compare the location of the phone and the location of the masajid in it’s database. If they’re close to each other, say within a 100ft radius, the app would silence the phone. Once the phone is outside of that radius, the phone ringer would be restored to its previous state. The location comparison can be done on a regular and reasonable interval, maybe every 15 minutes. Solution #2 Details The solution assumes: Asking the user to manage the ringer settings is within company policy The user approves the necessary permission requests. An event is already processed at Athan time (the notification). Process another event to mute the ringer. Schedule a second event 30 minutes after Iqama to restore the ringer settings. Suggested Solution Solution #2 requires less permissions (no location) more straightforward calculation (no comparison with the list of all masajid) more performative (no code execution at regular intervals) uses the existing pattern of event processing at athan time broader solution (the phone is silenced even if the user prays at home) Failed Solutions Remind attendees before salah to mute their phones. The reminder is ignored JazakAllahu Khairan

Automatic Adhkars on display screens
It would be a great benefit to all masajid and a fantastic value-added feature to Masjidbox to have the morning and evening adhkars displayed at the appropriate times and pause all other screen activities. So from Fajr to Shuruq, the screens default to morning adhkars and between Asr and Maghrib they defauilt to evening adhkars. It would be perfect if they could be timed according to the timetable for each masjid in the same way that the “it’s time for salah” message pops up for a few minutes at each relevant salah time. Jazak Allah khayr and may Allah (swt) reward you all for your amazing effort and product.

Feature Request: Add Taraweeh to Alerts Settings
Dear Masjidbox Team, I would like to submit a feature request regarding the Alerts Settings. Currently, we can configure alerts for Jumuah and the five daily prayers. It would be very helpful to also include Taraweeh as an adjustable option, similar to the existing prayer settings. This would allow us to automatically disable or pause the display during Taraweeh in Ramadan, ensuring the screen does not remain active during the prayer. Since Taraweeh is a central prayer during Ramadan, having it integrated into the Alerts Settings would improve usability and automation for many mosques. Thank you for considering this enhancement. I look forward to your feedback.

Donations campaigns
As a potential donor, I want to access a dedicated page that displays all active donation campaigns in one place, So that I can easily compare causes and choose the specific campaign I want to support. Acceptance Criteria To consider this feature "Done," it must meet the following requirements: Centralized Display: A new "Campaigns" or "Donate" page must be accessible via the web and mobile navigation menus. Campaign Cards: Each campaign must be displayed with a title, a brief description, a compelling thumbnail image, and a "Donate Now" button. Real-time Updates: Users should only see "Active" campaigns; expired c ampaigns should be filtered out or marked accordingly. Responsive Design: The layout must be optimized for both desktop browsers and mobile app interfaces. Direct Checkout: Clicking a specific campaign should take the user directly to the payment flow for that specific cause.

Dual-Language Support (App & Website)
We would like to request built-in dual-language support for both the mobile app and the website. Currently, the platform interface supports English only. For mosques serving multilingual communities, this presents accessibility limitations. In our case, a significant portion of our congregation is Turkish-speaking diaspora, and many members are more comfortable engaging with digital services in Turkish than English. We would like the ability to: Enable two (or more) languages per mosque Provide our own translations for all editable text content Allow users to toggle language in settings (similar to selecting language on a mobile device) Maintain language preference per user session Important clarification: We are happy to provide all required translations ourselves. This does not need to be a managed translation service. We simply require the structural capability within the platform. For example: App settings → Language → English / Turkish Website header → Language toggle This would significantly improve accessibility, inclusivity, and user engagement for multilingual communities. Providing dual-language capability would allow Masjidbox to better serve diaspora mosques across the UK and Europe.

Public-Facing Donation Transparency Visuals
We would like to request an optional transparency feature that displays a visual allocation breakdown after a donor completes a contribution. This would appear on the donation confirmation page and/or email receipt only (not necessarily on the public campaign page). The purpose would be to visually communicate how funds are allocated at a high level, based on predefined annual percentages set by the mosque administration. For example: Mosque Maintenance Allocation (2026) 40% Utilities 25% Repairs & Maintenance 15% Education & Programmes 10% Staff Costs 10% Community Services Important clarification: The percentages would be manually set by the mosque (once per year or campaign). This would not represent automated financial routing or live accounting. It would be a visual transparency statement reflecting the mosque’s planned allocation model. A simple pie or ring chart (similar to those already visible within the admin dashboard) would be sufficient. This feature would: Enhance donor confidence Improve transparency culture Encourage recurring donations Align with modern expectations of institutional accountability

Removal or Reduction of Masjidbox Watermark on Paid Plans
As a paying customer, we would like to request the ability to remove or significantly reduce Masjidbox watermarking across public-facing materials. While we understand the need for branding attribution, the current implementation places the Masjidbox watermark prominently and repeatedly across materials such as calendars and downloadable assets. For paid subscriptions, it would be reasonable to offer one of the following options: Full removal of watermarking A single “Powered by Masjidbox” attribution placed discreetly (e.g. footer only) Optional branding toggle for premium accounts Repeated branding on every page or asset can diminish the professional presentation of mosque materials. Providing a cleaner white-label or semi-white-label option for paying institutions would greatly enhance the perceived quality and ownership of distributed materials.

Simplified & Customisable “Next Prayer” Display (Accessibility Mode)
The homepage “Next Prayer” display is visually clean, but it currently offers only one layout option. Some elderly members of our congregation find it difficult to interpret all of the elements displayed simultaneously. It would be beneficial to allow administrators to customise or simplify this display. For example, optional display modes such as: A. Simplified Mode (Elder-Friendly View) Prayer name Iqamah time only (or Adhan time only – selectable) Large countdown timer Reduced secondary information This would make it immediately clear when congregants need to leave home. B. Iqamah-Focused Mode Many attendees prioritise the Iqamah time rather than the Adhan. A toggle allowing: “Focus on Iqamah” Or “Focus on Adhan” would improve clarity. C. Large Text / High-Contrast Mode Larger font sizes Increased contrast Reduced interface clutter D. Optional Information Toggles Allow admins to toggle: Hijri date Gregorian date Countdown timer Ramadan countdown News preview This would let mosques tailor the interface to their demographic.

Monthly View for Dedicated Prayer Times Page
The app includes a dedicated Prayer Times page, which is useful. However, it currently only displays prayer times on a day-by-day basis. On other custom pages within the platform, a monthly view component is available and works well. It would make practical sense to integrate this same monthly view option into the dedicated Prayer Times page. Many users prefer to: View the full month at a glance Plan around Jummah timing shifts Check Ramadan prayer variations Compare time changes across weeks Having only a single-day display limits usability, particularly during Ramadan and seasonal time shifts. Allowing administrators to enable a monthly view toggle (Day / Month) within the dedicated Prayer Times page would significantly improve user experience without requiring a completely new feature — as the functionality already exists elsewhere in the platform.

Full Calendar Localisation (Months & Interface Language)
The custom calendar feature is very useful, particularly the ability to rename prayer times (e.g. changing “Fajr” to “Sabah”). However, localisation currently appears incomplete. While prayer names can be translated, the month names remain fixed in English (e.g. January, February), even when a different language is being used for the rest of the calendar. For communities operating in Turkish, Arabic, Urdu or other languages, this creates an inconsistent user experience. It would be beneficial to allow: Month names to follow the selected language Full calendar localisation Optional language selection per calendar view This would make the feature feel complete and better serve multilingual communities.

Advanced Recurring Events & Calendar-Based Editing Needed
As a mosque operating at significant scale (multiple weekly classes, monthly programmes, seasonal events, hall bookings and volunteer-led activities), the current recurring event functionality is too limited for practical use. At present, recurrence is restricted to simple Daily / Weekly / Monthly patterns with weekday selection. This does not support the operational complexity required by many mosques. We would greatly benefit from the following improvements: 1. Advanced Recurrence Rules Every X weeks (e.g. fortnightly) Monthly by position (e.g. 1st Saturday, 3rd Friday, last Sunday) Custom recurrence intervals Defined start and end date ranges Ability to exclude specific dates (e.g. Eid, bank holidays, closures) Term-based scheduling (e.g. January–March only) Seasonal modes (e.g. Ramadan-only series) 2. Calendar-Based Editing A visual monthly calendar view where administrators can: Click individual occurrences Cancel a single date without breaking the full series Edit a single occurrence (time change, speaker change, cancellation) Edit the entire series if required This would significantly improve internal event management and reduce scheduling errors. 3. Conflict Alerts It would be helpful to receive warnings if two events overlap in the same location or time slot. 4. Improved “Add to Calendar” for Users For the public-facing side, it would also be beneficial to make adding events to personal calendars easier. For example: One-click iCal (.ics) download Google Calendar direct add button Outlook / Apple Calendar compatibility This improves attendance rates and reduces confusion around event times. Many standard calendar systems (e.g. Google Calendar) already provide advanced recurrence rules, exception handling, and visual calendar editing. Without similar functionality, institutions are often forced to manage events externally and use Masjidbox primarily for display purposes. These enhancements would make Masjidbox suitable for institutional-level event management rather than basic recurring scheduling. We appreciate the platform and hope this can be considered in future development.
