We would like to request built-in dual-language support for both the mobile app and the website.
Currently, the platform interface supports English only. For mosques serving multilingual communities, this presents accessibility limitations.
In our case, a significant portion of our congregation is Turkish-speaking diaspora, and many members are more comfortable engaging with digital services in Turkish than English.
We would like the ability to:
Enable two (or more) languages per mosque
Provide our own translations for all editable text content
Allow users to toggle language in settings (similar to selecting language on a mobile device)
Maintain language preference per user session
Important clarification:
We are happy to provide all required translations ourselves. This does not need to be a managed translation service. We simply require the structural capability within the platform.
For example:
App settings → Language → English / Turkish
Website header → Language toggle
This would significantly improve accessibility, inclusivity, and user engagement for multilingual communities.
Providing dual-language capability would allow Masjidbox to better serve diaspora mosques across the UK and Europe.
